John Sheridan
Born Oct 1, 1964, in Manchester.
Started his playing career as a trainee at Manchester City.
Joined Leeds in 1982 and played 267 games for them, scoring 52 goals.
Signed by Forest manager Brian Clough for £650,000 in 1989.
After only 3 months at Forest, Ron Atkinson took him to Hillsborough for £500,000 in November 1989.
Scored the Wednesday goal that beat Manchester United 1-0 in the Rumbelows League Cup final in 1991.
Was a key man in the Owls side that finished third in the top flight, played in Europe and played in the FA Cup Final and League Cup final in 1993.
Made the last of his 244 appearances for Wednesday in September, 1996 before joining Bolton.
Played 34 times for the Republic of Ireland.
Appointed Oldham player-coach in October 2001, becoming manager three years ago.
In 151 games in charge he had 61 wins and 47 defeats.
He led the Latics to a play-off semi-final in his first season
Just missed the top six in his second.
Parted company with the Latics in March 2009.

He was at forest for 3 months and clough wouldnt play him cos he was signed while he was on holiday by his assistant.
Brilliant players, a good steady manager with bags of experience, Just needs a club to believe in him. He will do the right thing with Chesterfield.
