Another Owls raid for Chesterfield?

The Sheffield Star on Tuesday is linking Sheffield Wednesday’s versatile left-sided player Daniel Jones with a move to Chesterfield FC having played briefly under John Sheridan during a loan spell at Oldham in the 2008/09 season.

The Spireites boss was impressed with Jones’ contribution as a 21-year-old before a knee injury forced his return to Wolves.

Now 25, Jones joined the Owls in the summer of 2010 after leaving Molineux and can play both at the back and in midfield.

He struggled to make an impact at Hillsborough last season but was still linked with a loan move to the Championship during the January transfer window.
