Chesterfield and Oldham fight to a draw. In an end to end entertaining game which a predicted was hard, end to end stuff,that any team could have won in the dying minutes

In a match which saw much talent on the field with little in goals, there was not much to celebrate for Chesterfield coming to a draw when what is needed Is a win.
From the outset it was end to end battles with little for either goal keeper to worry about. There were one or two fine saves by both keepers Oldham`s Rachubbbe saving a fine header from Sam Clucas in the 2nd minute Kept Oldham in the game. In a match of this type there is usually lots to write about. This game showed lots of skilful passing and some fine tactical moves though one got the feeling this was going to be a draw. So it proved with close goal attempts in 29th and 45th minute, so it was a 0 0 draw at half time.
The second half started much like the first Sam Morsy shooting just wide of the post after 46minutes with a magnificent strike. Now It really was a contest each side probing for the vital opening Oldham found the net through a penalty kick by Jonathan Forte in the 48th minute Danny Philiskirk being fouled by Sam Morsy. Chesterfield responded by playing with more aggression more self-belief, rewarded in the 58th minute with a superb, toe punt by Sam Clucas, from the center of the Oldham goal area, taking a deflection from Daniel Johnson.
Despite many more shots on by both teams the result seemed obvious,. “Paul Cooks Barmy army must wait another week and are now 7th in the league one. Still needing more wins than draws.
