Former Chesterfield FC loan winger Ishmel Demontagnac is set to feature against the Spireites next season after signing a two-year contract with Northampton Town.

Now 24, the winger was a free agent after leaving Notts County where he struggled to make an impression following his move to Meadow Lane in the summer of 2011.

Demontagnac made 10 appearances for Chesterfield at the end of the 2009/10 season.

Spireites manager John Sheridan told BBC Radio Sheffield at the time of his signing: ‘He’s very quick, can play left or right and I’m very pleased to get him.’
