Chesterfield are back in league 1 action this weekend, and we’re also at home.

Will the ProAct Stadium provide Chesterfield with enough of a home advantage to see off Scunthorpe United, who also came up with us last season?

The last game we played, before a weekend off, was a game against Scunthorpe in the JPT, which we lost but if we win in league 1 on Saturday afternoon that will soften that blow.

Recent arrivals Sam Clucas and Georg Margreitter are in line to play some part for us.

Ian Evatt (suspension) is back so he could come in to partner Charlie Raglan due to Sam Hird (knee) being ruled out.

Scunthorpe United have a doubt over Luke O’Neill (ankle) with first choice ‘keeper Sam Slocombe (shoulder) and veteran striker Deon Burton (knee) definitely confirmed as absentees though.

Ahead of the game Chesterfield boss Paul Cook told BBC Radio Sheffield: ‘We came up with them and I think if either of us had been offered survival before the season started we would have snapped your hand off.

‘They’ve got good players and good options up front. Whatever team he brings over it will be a tough game.

‘We will try and play and hopefully we will get the result.’
