John Sheridan’s Chesterfield side were 6-1 winners over Staveley Miners Welfare on Saturday afternoon in their first pre-season friendly.
Three trialists were part of the Spireites side, Chris Sedgwick, Alan Quinn and Manny Panther and assistant manager Tommy Wright thought all three showed up well.
‘We moved the ball well and I thought everybody contributed to a good performance,’ he told the official CFC website.
