Sheridan resigns as Chesterfield Manager

Sheridan had been put on gardening leave after only 3 games in charge from the start of this season. This mean’t he was unable to get another job in management. He is now free to apply for management posts, maybe it’s just a coincidence that a League One side today sacked their manager.

The Club issued a statement saying: ‘The club wishes to record it’s appreciation of Mr Sheridan’s achievements in leading the club to promotion from League Two to League One in the 2010/11 season and winning the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy’.

I would like to thank him for the great memories he gave us, the amazing day out at Wembley, and lifting the League 2 Championship Trophy in our first season at our new home.
