Nathan Smith having been out with an ankle injury, played a full 90 minutes for the reserves at North Ferriby against Hull City reserves last night.

Speaking on the Official site, John Dungworth, who was in charge ‘It was good to see Nathan Smith play for 90 minutes after being out for a few months, I thought he was outstanding’.

It will great be great to have him back in the team, I feel they have missed his energy and his attacking runs.

The reserves won 3-2 after being 2-1 down, goals from Hazel, Boden and Evans.

The winner came with just a few minutes left, A great ball from Randall, found Evans who scored from a tight angle.

Speaking on the Official site John Dungworth said ‘ we kept going and showed a lot of team spirit. The lads looked fit and strong’

‘Mark Randall ran the show in midfield and Ben Wilson made a couple of good saves’.

The reserves have now won four and lost one, not bad for their first season in the Central league after a very long absence, it’s a great experience for the younger lads to play with the first team players.

Line-up: Wilson, Wafula, Smith, Broadhead, T Whittaker, Clay (Slack), Randall (Scully), Evans, Waddle, Hazel, Boden.
