The Football League have now announced the Match Day officials that will take charge of the game against Shrewsbury Town this weekend.

Chesterfield host Shrewsbury on Saturday January 2 for the game at the Proact Stadium and the match carries a 3pm kick off.

Referee: Geoff Eltringham
Linesmen: Neil Hair and Alf Greenwood
Fourth Official: William Smallwood

Match Day referee Eltringham (County Durham) is yet to officiate a Chesterfield game this season.

He has however already taken in 21 other matches so far in 2015-16 and in those games, across all competitions and Football divisions, he has handed out a total of 45 yellow cards and three red cards.

He was most card happy in the match between Bolton and Birmingham on October 20 with a total of seven yellow cards shown. Earlier in the season he showed four yellows and two red in the game between Brentford and Sheffield Wednesday back in September.

Let`s hope it`s not another repeat and more of our players edge closer to automatic bans.
