The experienced keeper joined the Spireites on an emergency loan at the beginning of January as cover for Tommy Lee, has now agreed to stay at the Proact Stadium until the end of the season.
He won’t be allowed to play against his club Accrington Stanley on March 8th. The deal can be extended if the Spireites are involved in the play-offs.
Manager Paul Cook told the official club website: ‘We are delighted to have secured Ian’s services as he is very good, experienced goalkeeper. He’s also a great character who has become very popular in the dressing room in a short space of time.’
