Liam Cooper played against Chesterfield Reserves for Hull City Reserves scoring in a 4-2 win for his team. Liam is a product of Hull City’s youth development programme, he as made 17 appearances for the first team, since making his debut in 2008. He has also had loan spells for Huddersfield making 4 appearances and Carlisle making 6 appearances, scoring 1 goal in 2010-11.

Paul Cook speaking to the club website said: ‘Liam brings great experience, he has played in the championship and with Sam Hird suspended Neal Trotman injured it was important that we got someone in immediately and to get a player in of Liam’s quality is fantastic.’

Hopefully he will help a defence that as struggled this season, also when Hird is back from suspension, it would give Cook more options.
