Keepmoat Stadium

The Keepmoat Stadium was officially opened on August 3rd 2007, it cost £21 million to construct and as a capacity of 15,231. It is situated next to a lake, the stadium is completely enclosed and the covered stands are of the same height. Away fans are located in the Case Construction North Stand at one end of the stadium, where around 3,344 fans can be accommodated. The view of the playing action, leg room, and facilities in this stand are all good, although fans are set well back from the pitch as there is a substantial tarmac looking track which surrounds it.

The concourses are a good size and there are a number of televisions on view to keep supporters entertained. Food includes a selection of pies and pasties at around £3 each, plus burgers and hotdogs.

For those that remember Belle Vue their former ground, which was open to the elements. This stadium bucks the trend as it is a lot more atmospheric then the old stadium, usually it’s the other way round. The stewarding is generally relaxed making for a less stressful experience. If you are travelling without a ticket you must purchase one from the South Stand ticket office as cash is not accepted at the turnstiles.

There is a bar at the Stadium itself, which away fans are allowed to go into. The bar as plenty of seating, it also as an organised queuing system, to avoid the normal hustle at the bar. There was no food available though. Alcohol is also available inside the stadium, including Carlsberg at £3 a bottle.
