Aaron Chapman joined the Nailers in February 2012 from Goole AFC, and he has put in some outstanding performances since he joined the club. One particular display was at the Proact against a Chesterfield XI in the Derbyshire Senior Cup. he pulled off some fine saves to keep his team in it, eventually losing 4-2

The tall goalkeeper is a very commanding figure in his penalty area, often plucking dangerous crosses out of the air with ease.

He has been brought in to provide competition for Tommy Lee, he will be trained by the new very experienced goalkeeping coach Eric Nixon. Cook talking to the club website said: ‘We’ve got really high hopes for him because he’s got so many attributes for a young lad.’

Being 22, he is still very young in goalkeeping terms, negotiations between the clubs are still on going in terms of his transfer, which are likely to include the Spireites fielding a full first team squad in future pre-season friendlies against the Nailers.

I would like to wish Aaron good luck and thank him for joining the Spireites apparently there was a few clubs wanting to sign him.
