Chesterfield boss Lee Richardson won’t settle for anything but a win on Saturdays game with Gillingham at Recreation Park.

Richardson told the clubs official website: ‘ We want the three points and
want to inspire our supporters to get behind us like they did in the last two games against Crewe and Cheltenham. Hopefully we can get the three points on Saturday and we stay 110% focused on getting as many points as we can from our remaining games.’

He also added ‘ It would be fantastic for the both the fans and players to secure safety against Bradford on 28 April in front of 6,000 or so supporters. So everyone can relax and look forward to next season in League 1!’

Meanwhile Gillingham Manager Ronnie Jepson has admitted that his side will face a difficult match at Recreation Park.

Gillingham are not safe from relegation yet but a win on Saturday would guarantee their safety for at least another year. Jepson stated ‘ We will have to stand up to the physical affects on Saturday as Chesterfield will be throwing everything at us. They will be looking for the three points so we know it will be tough , hopefully we can maintain what we did on Monday ( a 1-0 win over Bristol City)’.
