Manager Danny Wilson, Lee Novak and Ollie Banks have all given their thoughts following Chesterfield’s victory over Barnsley earlier today.

Making the trip to Oakwell to face off against Barnsley who has reversed their season in recent months and gone from near the bottom of the table to within a chance of Play Off promotion this year – plus the recent Wembley trip and Johnstone’s Paint Trophy success – hopes of a result were high, but probably few expected the win.

A win was a just result for a good performance though and Chesterfield took the lead twice with goals from Lee Novak and Ollie Banks to take the win and all three points.

Wilson of course believed the side more than merited it based on the performance across the 90 minutes, and as he spoke to the media after the game he explained.

The goal scorers on the day were also interviewed, and whilst the game was tight, and Chesterfield bossed possession, it’s fair to say the hosts had the greater chances.
